Hi Guys
Hope all is well wanted to ask , I recently moved to western cape area and would like to know where can I apply for bow hunting permits hope to hear from you soon not sure if this thread has been covered before
thanks again

From what I know you should be able to get all your hunting permits from either a gun shop or Cape Nature.

When we go to Kalahari we stop off at Kururman post office for our licences.

I am moving to Western Cape soon as well.

Keen to see what the hunting is like down there.

Sean welcome to AH sir!

Thanks Roan ill stop by some gun stores around here and check out the post office as well what I can tell you is that the prices here differ a lot but the few game farms I have been to are really good and great hides as well the bow hunting seems really strict in regards to hunting and permits etc.

Hi

Found this, its a couple of years old but should still be correct.

WESTERN CAPE
Hunting licences are available at agencies such as firearm dealers
and other offices of Cape Nature Conservation. The price is
R170,00 per licence and every hunter should be in possession of
a general hunting licence. However, direct family members of
the land owner do not need a licence for ordinary game. More
information is available at tel. 021 659 3418 or 022 931 2900 or
website: http://www.capenature.co.za/permits.htm

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
