Bow draw weight workouts to increase muscle strength

How does everyone get strong enough to pull 80-100 lbs easily to hunt Africa I'm currently at 75 lbs and pull it semi easy. At night time though it gets kinda hard to pull back. What's the best workouts to increase bow shoulder strength other than shooting a lot. Also I've been shooting shoot everyday for probably a month now is that too much?

Get an accubow for arcade amusement. My kids love it. Do reps playing the video game at 40-50-60lbs and you'll be buff in no time flat. (it is a bungee cord string so its like a traditional bow)

I have a 2019 PSE Expedite. It's got an IBO specs of 350+ FPS. Mind boggling to me since I've been shooting since 1986. Anyway, at my 29.5" draw and 70.5 lb. Draw weight I clocked it at 286 fps with my usual 510 grain arrow (125 grain point) for over 92 ft/lbs of energy. That arrow passed through a blesbok and nyala in 2021 like they weren't there. With a heavier 766 grain arrow (175 grain point) I tested with it got 236 fps for over 94 ft/lbs or .808 slugs of energy. That would do it's job well on a buffalo, at 70.5 lb. draw. I'm sure even more efficient with a heavier arrow and broadhead.

So, before you go heavier, go for an efficient rig.

My son has been bow hunting big game since he was 8 years old. His draw weight is pathetic and his draw length is abysmal. In all his big game hunting, I think he failed to get a full pass through only twice.

Perfectly tuned bow? Yes.

Use a bow with an adjustable brace height for 1.5" of "free speed"? Yes.

Heavy arrows? Yes.

Extreme high FOC? Yes.

Cut on contact, razor sharp, tanto tip, stropped, single bevel broadheads? Yes.

Agree with rookhawk. Would also recommend a bag target in the house and extensive blank bale practice.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
