Boots for sandy soil

My PH on the Kalahari fringes wore Walabys(?) The tracker wore Clark’s. This hunt was in the early [emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]s.
Hunted with that same PH a few years later in the Caprive and he still preferred Walabys.Exceptionally big man also.

Thanks for letting me know. Wallabees is the Clark trade name for their brand of desert boots. I have been wearing them since the [emoji637][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji639]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]s. They used to be cheap but are now over $[emoji637][emoji6[emoji640][emoji637]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]] a pair.

Ok but there were 2 different styles/models one had crepe sole the other had a thin black flat sole very little if any tread on either
The PH did not wear gaiters but laced and tied his shoes. The tracker had no laces in his shoes but never seem to hve any issues.
Good luck

Check the Danner ridge they come with an insole as well and made with a thinner light construction but well made. They are my summer boot. The 510 last is nice, a more normal fit than the 650 last which can be quite tight. Comes with the vibram ketterlift outsole. Also goretex.
