Someone once said “when an old man dies, a library burns down” as those stories are lost to eternity. We should be thankful Barrister Shaiaz M Shah helped Chief Conservator of the Forests Golam Habib Dulal capture his stories so they are available long after he slips his mortal coil.
This book belongs in the personal library of any hunter with an interest in the wide world of hunting and those hunts we may never see again, in this case the man eating tigers of Bangladesh where it abuts the Bay of Bangal.
This book is no telling of stories arranged to build suspense to a crescendo. Nor is it narrated by a man trying to bolster his reputation or satisfy his ego. Rather, it’s probably best enjoyed with a glass of bourbon, tea if you must, while you imagine the author sitting with you in his study. I’m pleased to have a copy in my library.
Perhaps our own Shaiaz will comment on how you can get your own copy.
