Bolt-Action 500's, who is still producing them today?

I want a 500 just to have fun shooting a few times a year and maybe a pig or 2. I really missed out on the affordable ones. I thought it would just be way too much but after shooting 458 I need more!

A CZ or one of those Sakos would have been perfect.

Please keep it in mind. A year & a half wait without word one .. it showed up. (2021)

I am not destitute, yet.

Whether it's a 500 Jeffery, 505 Gibbs or something more obscure in this caliber class, which rifle companies are still producing these rifles today? From my research it's a very small club of the bespoke British makes, especially now with the CZ550 and Sako 85 being discontinued. Other notable makes like Rigby, Mauser & Heym seem to top out with the 0.458's.
  1. Jeffery & Co Model 500 (500 Jeffery)
  2. Westley Richards Magazine Rifle (505 Gibbs)
  3. Holland & Holland Bolt Action Rifle (505 Gibbs)
Any others that I am missing?
George Gibbs still makes the 505 Gibbs bolt action

I’ve owned a Sako 85 in 500J and currently shoot a 500J in my Blaser R8 PH. The Blaser is far superior in every aspect.

You just can’t accept that won’t chamber them in outdated cartridges like the whelan .
@R eight
Don't get me wrong Sako make some nice rifles but overpriced in my book.
I have beer tastes and beer income. What works for me others may not like.
For value for money with great accuracy both Savage and Howa suit me just fine.
Sakos in Australia will set you back $3000aud.

Howa for my son with scope and gunbag $650.
My Savage 270 $300 new barrel $550 barrel fitted and chambered $350 mates rates. So semi custom Whelen $1,200aud or less than $800 US.
BOTH shoot sub moa so what's not to love. May not be as perty as a Sako but the kill game just as deed.

The Sako, last affordable factory 500 for $2500.

And 2016, perhaps.
Jay's sent pics of CZ's 505, ready to move on. $3650. (Bit of a regret)

Last semi-affordable factory option.
Now, $7500 if you catch one.

Thank you. I get a bit intrigued by these; members have shared some great insight.

Matt Roberts was the only one immediately willing, I'm sure still would be.

Matt is a great smith and also very responsive!

All necessity, need, whatever aside on personal thoughts on 500's.

CZ really brought back a renaissance. The history alone,

I'm a hx buff. And members stories here, I get lost in.
Thanks to all.

CZ 550 in 500 Jeffery. AHR CZ#1 Upgrade (3 pos M70 type safety, single stage trigger, straighten and fill bolt), Kevin Weaver put on the ebony forend and grip cap and machined the magazine follower so it feeds and functions like a dream. My favorite rifle. I use it for everything.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
