Blackbuck Hunts

We would be happy to have you at the @RESERVE RANCH for a Blackbuck hunt. Our prices are competitive with ranches of equal quality and we are currently offering 10% off all hunts for AH Members through the end of the year.

One thing to consider about hunting a Blackbuck with me in Texas - you will get your trophy and have no additional pack/dip/ship and import expenses.

Mr. Rahm has been hunting with us since for three decades, it was great to have him back at the ranch last season.

Argentina exports should be getting back on track now, although slow. There was an article in the latest issue of SCI Safari Times that I read yesterday about this issue. Federico Testa was the largest and main exporter and was the exporter that got caught up in the scandal along with the one outfitter. It sounds like he has pretty much been forced out of business. According to the SCI article there is one other exporter who has taken up the slack for all exports currently out of Argentina but they are small and didn’t have the logistics support for the volume of business directed to them so they have been much slower getting trophies out of the country. Since the scandal all Argentine outfitters are now using this other export company. SCI indicated that several other exporters are gearing up to take over this business in Argentina. Several Argentinian outfitters advocated to the government to get permission to go into Federico’s warehouse and retrieve their customers trophy shipments because they had all of the appropriate paperwork to prove that their hunters trophies were legitimately taken. Algar Safaris who I hunted with in 2023 was one of those allowed to retrieve trophies and take them to the other export company for shipment. There were 3-4 other outfitters mentioned in the SCI article that also got permission to retrieve their clients trophies, SCI has been staying involved and advocating on this issue with the Argentine govt.

Algar Safaris had a lot of blackbuck available to hunt.

Argentina is a great destination no doubt, I have hunted there countless times over the past 25 years.

That being said, at the @RESERVE RANCH we offer an equal level of service with excellent trophies at a lesser overall rate if you factor in air travel, day rates, trophy fees, trophy prep, export fees, shipping and import fees.

Our lands are wild and the hunts very sporting, meals and accommodations are first rate.

The website looks great. Do you have a lot of cross fencing?

I just got back from Argentina and passed on the blackbucks because the ones I saw at the 777 Ranch while hunting my scimitar oryx were larger and darker. I will be in Austin in October and would like to get a really nice blackbuck and maybe a four horn sheep if you have them.

I hunted with El Carrizal in Argentuna. Both my son and I took Blackbuck.

You can also hunt them in South Africa if you're planning a hunt there in the near future.
