Dang! That seems really high for one impala, and a hyena! Brian

+1, does seem kinda high. I have only seen Hyena's advertised a couple of times on here (AH forum) but best I can remember, the few I did see, they were around $1100-$1200 for the beast.

Louw, perhaps a breakdown of pricing is in order, unless there is a typing error? Is it government fees that make it this expensive? Only reason I am even posting is that TOM had a thread a while back, and I remember several others showed an interest in hunting spotted Hyena. Tom's thread "Hunting Hyena - How many have hunted one?"

Have not seen this message in a while.
Louw, I hope you can add some information to your offer.

Very Special Critter. CITES critter. Not your regular Rooibok.

gottya, thanks tom and brick

Daily fees add up in a hurry. If you are a USA resident, you can't bring a black faced impala back to the USA. I have seen some giants in Namibia because of the CITES problems.

I will soon give you more details on this, but in short:
CORRECT!!! This is not just an Impala, it is a real true genetic Black Faced Impala, supposed to be only in the South Western Part of Angola(If there are any left), with the biggest population in Namibia, mainly the North Western Parts, and in theory, endemic to Namibia(not including ones that has been "located" to South Africa).
I will give a breakdown on my quote soon, I know of areas that will ask Euro 2200.00 just for the BF impala, and up to Euro 2000.00 for the Spotted Hyena. a Ten day hunt, it does cost money per day etc.
Yes, unfortunately cited is still blocking import to the US for BF impala, on our AG for Namibia Professional Hunters Association we had this discussion. Our wildlife has to get a management plan, then it will be revised and hopefully BF impala will see the US!

Hi Guys

Should anyone be interested in Spotted Hyena, I can set up a different package and exclude the BF impala till the cites ban is lifted?

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
