Bird Hunting Pictures

I’m headed out the door shortly to sit for Canada Geese. There is a huge feed just north of me. Hopefully we have better action than a week ago.

Hit ‘em hard!

R eight that’s cool to see something so different than our own “norms”-congrats!

Hevi Shot number 2

I was impressed with the 3” no 2 steel. The photo is of some of the shells I tried.

Only about an hour hunting and four shots. Cutting across the hayfield back to the vehicle when I decided to take a photo. The grass in this field is greener and thicker than my lawn. Drought is over. Very warm again today.

Would that be a snow mallard? Storm mallard? I’ve mounted a couple park duck hybrids, they make a fun and unique trophy-cool that you collected one
It is actually a snowy call duck, a domestic descendant of mallards. This was most likely an escaped domestic bird as it didnt behave like a wild duck. So not really rare because they are domesticated but rare to shoot on a hunt.

Long day in the field. Lots of birds but didn't find them till the end. Then they were everywhere. Both dogs are gimpy but they had a helluva time. I gotta find a new recipe. Eating birds as fast as I can. Actually saw quite a few deer today ... finally. Beginning to get worried. Perhaps hunting them next week. Hopefully.

Dad would have been 100 today. I should have used his A5. I brought it along for backup. He loved pheasant hunting and good dogs. Here's to ya, Dad. Thanks for getting me started in the right direction.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
