Big Warthogs

I’ve seen really big warthogs in Coutada 10 in Mozambique where I shot the 3rd biggest we saw and in the kalahari region of South Africa. These two regions seem to have one thing in common, no rocks to break tusks on. The delta in Mozambique is one area drought is normally not an issue as warthog require consistent water.

Just how big are you looking for? I got this one two weeks ago in the Kalahari, SA.

Thank you for posting this question. I have been too scared to ask. LOL. Well maybe lazy.

Rem280, seriously. If your gonna go to Africa make the effort and get some Pork on your Fork

.280 is a good idea, .280a.i. is a better good thing, would love to take a .280a.i. to Africa and hunt a heap of hogs.

Same with the black backed jackals. If you remember during our hunt and the PHs were talking about shooting jackals and I mentioned when I worked at a middle school, we had a number of little jackals. They thought they were "golden" jackals but they weren't. You stated the PHs were talking about the four legged kind. LOL

I don't call them "Little Jackals" downunder, I don't call em little rascals either. I don't even call em little Dingoes after our native dog , sheep marauding critters.

I can't say what I call em but I can't work in middle school with my attitude toward the little sh!ts.

I will vote another for Limpopo, RSA. However, it was really tough to find them while we were there in May. They are off in the real thick stuff. We saw one while there that my PH said might have been the biggest he's ever seen in his life. We saw it driving out of his property at dusk and it was so big that it took us all a second to figure out what we are looking at. He put me on the top of the truck, loaded, to try and find it while we drove a bit. It was gone, though.

What I will say, although I have not been, I believe Namibia is known for world class warthogs. Possibly better than RSA.

That is great! All three are fantastic specimens. I love the extra long hair on the third one and the width of the tusks on the second. Congrats!!

I'm looking for warthogs, big warthogs that is. I've looked for them my last couple hunts but unable to find a big, unbroken one to put on the wall.

Do you have any recommendations on countries, areas or outfitters that I should bek looking at?
Dear @Nevada Wapati we can most definitely help sir will send you a dm

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
