I have been looking for this set of books for many years. I was lucky just before Christmas to find a bookdealer in the US who had it for a very fine price. Its difficult to price a book that hasn`t been for sale in years.

This set here is the rare Large Edtion which only 250 sets were made in 1894. The only title I was interested in. Both books are #39.

Which dealer has the books for sale?

Those are great looking books! I am very happy you found them!

What a find! Congrats!

Ken Czech's Annotated Bibliography of African Big Game Hunting Books (1785-1950) is an exceptional resource for anyone interested in collecting fine safari books.

It appears you struck the big time on African book collecting. Congratulations.

P.S It also appears you have a nice firearm collection to go along with your books.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
