Big Bore Addiction Group

Hartmann & Weiss is right up there with England's best. No question.

Regarding recoil, in my experience there is definitely something to be said for recoil velocity. I have experience with up to the 460 Weatherby, but the worst, by far, has been the 378 Weatherby (Mark V) and 300 Weatherby (which happened to be a Winchester, with killer wood...and it split in the hand, too...was most disappointed).

The Krieghoff 470 arrived last week, but have not had time until today to take a few pics. Will have to get to the range very ,very soon.

Beautiful! Congrats on the fine purchase. I can't wait to add a double to my collection. If I'm pleased with the results from my .404 I'll probably have my double made for .450/.400.

Here is my newest entry! The CZ has been posted before but now I have a Ruger RSM in 505 Gibbs. I'll post more another time and also got a Ruger RSM "little" brother to this one in 458 Lott. Forgot to grab a picture of that one but it is pristine! I don't think it was ever shot as the guy sold me his original 2 boxes of ammo and all 40 are there yet. Might get some pics up on the CZ 505 Gibbs thread and an RSM thread as well.

Bob,

You really do need to complete the set. I'm thinking a brace of each rifle. You know, right and left handed models.... :E Big Grin:

An example of some of the calibers I play with as often as possible. 505 Gibbs 525 grain Flat point bronze solid, 223, 30-06, 375 Ruger, 375 H&H, 416 Rem Mag, 416 Rigby, 458 Lott, 505 Gibbs 525 grain Corbon DPX (TSX bullet)

Very nice Bob! (y)(y)(y)
OK, so here's the million dollar question...
DOES IT FEED RELIABLY? :D

I had a friend from work get his first rifle. Nice savage bolt action in .223.

To mess with him I sent him a picture back of a .223 cartridge next to my.458 Lott and told him the .223 was a "cute little round." LOL

Dan it does so far! Only holds two so disappointed with that. But fed every shell I tried.

Excellent!!! I am happy to hear that :)
Can't wait for you to get some blood on it :D

Only two? You at least get a third up the pipe though, right?

Best part was neither guy on the email had shot anything bigger than that .223. I think one of then is scared of me now....:A Banana Sad:

I think he should be :D

Matt, I saw a video that you'd love today. It was buff hunting with a 4 bore. 2000 grain bullet fired at something like 1500 fps. Looked like a freakin artillery shell!!!

That's gotta be like crack or heroin for Matt, right? :sneaky::)

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
