Rifle’s ready, ammo loads are about finalized, and it’s cooling down a bit in SE Texas so time to practice the art of shooting off sticks. I’m 6’-5” so thought I would seek some expertise for stick recommendations before I waste money and time guessing, which is my usual method of acquisitions. Thanks!

I’m 6’2 if I ever stand up straight. The sticks I like the best are Rudolph shooting sticks-my ph in South Africa introduced my to them and I have really loved them. They don’t reduce very well for use when sitting but my shorter stature kids can shoot off them pretty well. Wrap them in soft camo tape (for noise reduction) and you are good to go

I’m 6’4”, the best sticks I have are the super tall ones i made myself. Most production sticks will have you scrunched down if you’re much more than 6’2”

Another vote for Rudolph sticks. For the short guys, they don't go low enough.

6’5” here.

I made my own, but my PH had Primos Trigger sticks, and they were ok. They might be short if you like to stand up super straight. I like how quickly they deploy or stow away. However, I prefer the way the home mades cradle my hand and rifle as opposed to the trigger sticks holding just the forend.

If money were no object, I would seriously consider the African Sporting creations sticks.

I have the Bog Pod Adrenaline, I'm 6'6". Unless you make your own, none of the ones I know of will be tall enough unless you just don't spread the legs out as far as they'll go. I have learned to live with it, and it's just as stable with the legs 2 feet from each other at the ground as it is if they're further apart.

A tripod is a rest, not a shooting platform.

Definitely want to get the longest ones you can find, but I wouldn't get too caught up in finding really long ones. "Good enough" is good enough.

I'm 6'4" and found that the Bog Pod works for me.

Good to shooters up to 6'8"

They are not cheap.
They look like a copy of the Rudolphs.

My PH is RSA uses Stoney Point Bipod Sticks. 3 sections. Plenty tall.

Cześć. Posiadam kilka sztuk podpórek do kijów, czyli pastorałów. Uważam, że Blaser jest najlepszy. Pozdrowienia

I'm the same height and used viper flex quad sticks in Namibia. They were just a fraction short but the stability was like having a benchrest in the bush. Couldn't fault them.

I'm 6'4" using successfully Jim Shockey Primos tripod shooting sticks. I would not change this for anything.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
