Hello I was wondering who ya'll thought is the best South African safari operator for rhino hunting given size of concession, overall experience, and abundances of game? Just planning for the future

@Daktari this asked more often. Will try to come up with earlier threads. Safari operators will be no problem but not all are thrilled by naming concessions. This because of the sensitive nature of the subject and the rabid antis.

I booked through Bossie of Limpopo Big Game Safaris. He has conducted many Rhino hunts.

No matter who you choose, openly discuss your expectations. These are pretty much canned South Africa hunts. But there should be some opportunity to make of it what you want. I insisted on a large property with many rhino so we had some hunting to do to find the target bull. Other guys I've talked to have had various other requests. One older gentleman didn't want to have to walk over loose rocks as that gave him great difficulty. Another wanted the lowest price possible as his number one priority, a deformed bull was fine, as was a young one. Another wanted a bull with as large a horn as he could find in his price range. Another the largest property and a big uncut horn. Cost was important but not the highest priority.

I’d give Albert Alberts a call. He has a knack for finding good opportunities in that neck of the woods.

Good day Daktari, herewith my framework offer, you are welcome to contact me directly / privately for full information.... Please note I am for various reasons blanking out rhino hunt prices on social media. Been hunting Rhino on the same concession since 2013! Loads of photos and references available.

Whoever is cheapest. It will be about the same hunt wherever you go. Shop around as there are many rhino on the market now.

@Daktari you're welcome to drop me an email or DM here on the forum, I have access to a large property to offer rhino hunts

If you are on a budget, I'd encourage you to consider leaving the horns behind if a decent discount is offered. Just have a top quality replica made. In fact make two or 3 sets once the mold is made.

Likewise if you hunt a de-horned bull, you can have a replica made with a full horn to replicate what the horn would look like if it had not been cut.

You may want replica horns anyway to display as it is probably advisable to keep the real horns locked up in a secure location..... Making owning them a PIA ;)

Good morning @Daktari,

We hope you are doing well! We are most certainly not the best Rhino outfitter in South Africa but what we do deliver on is a quality and trustworthy hunt. We ensure excellent trophy quality and strive to meet your needs with regards to expectations, land size, type of hunt etc.

Booking a rhino hunt is not an immediate process. there needs to be some conversation in the build up to making the booking so that everyone is on the same page so as to avoid any disappointment. Please feel free to contact us if you wish to speak any further. Who knows? Maybe we will one day make it up to that top spot!

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
