+1 for LeRoy

The middle three rifles were stocked by LeRoy. Top to bottom they are .458 Lott, .375 H&H and 7x57. LeRoy also did the metal work on the 7x57.

Among the others mentioned, consider Aaron Little, he recently completed and delivered a very nice custom M70 in 280 AI for me.

And a second vote for Reto beuhler, who built a beautiful and very accurate 404 Jeffery for me on a LH Granite Mountain action. Just perfect.

John Myer in VA did most of the work on my Enfield. He is excellent. What you will find is, the guys that are good, are backed up for years. As in, they have a huge wait list. John isn't taking on any more custom guns...I think. He's doing my Lott because we're kind of buddies and I engineered his house. He did my .375 Weatherby Enfield and it's basically flawless. He's really good. Me and my buddy with his mill did what we could....and he is an engineer and an ASE certified Master Mechanic and a pretty good machinest, and I'm a little better than chopped liver....but John took it past the finish line. Now he's building my Hannibal Lott.

(1) Buy a copy of Terry Wieland's Dangerous Game Rifles.

(2) The most expensive way to buy a rifle is to have it made for you. Keep an eye on the second-hand market and try and find someone who has spent their money on a custom-made rifle and buy it at a more reasonable price.

I have been taking this advise very much to heart

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx
