Best mask for airline travel? Advise needed

A friend has a mask that makes him look like he is smoking a cigarette, funny!

Flew to Spain and back on Delta in Oct. Wore one of the disposable medical masks (I think mine were green). It obviously wasn't particularly comfortable but it wasn't nearly the big deal I thought it was going to be. If you do use the disposable be sure you try them out before hand, there's a difference in the way some of them fit, some are entirely too tight for me.

Masks don't work so wear something comfortable. I've been wearing a Outdoor Research without the liner. Comfy, adjustable elastic around ears, and they look decent.
