Best Bond is dead. Sir Sean Connery!

I was 19 when The Untouchables came out. Once it was released to video I must have watched it at least a dozen times, largely for Connory’s character. Great actor. RIP

He was......

Good. Very Good!

My fav Bond movie was the 2nd one, From Russia with Love, a true spy classic without too much gadgetry. Robert Shaw as the villain Red Grant was quite scary. The fight inside the train is a classic.
I just watched him the other day in The Wind and the Lion which is excellent as is the Molly McGuires, The Man Who Would be King and others.
He was very funny in the Indy movie as well, The Last Crusade.

Don’t forget “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”. Kind of a weird movie, but hey, it’s Connery as Quatermain...African PH. Who better?

He will be missed.

Until I rewatched “The Longest Day” about a week ago, I didn’t know he was in that.
He was very good and will be missed.

Never saw him in a role that he did not nail! Agreed. Best Bond ever!

A great actor. He MADE the Bond character. My favorite role he was in was in The Hunt for Red October.
90 yrs is a great run. RIP Sir Connery.

I hunted elephant with Luke Samaris in 2005. It was my fourth safari and I tell you he is a fine gentleman the best. I got the opportunity to meet Patty Curtis, although never hunted with him but enjoyed our conversation around our tent in the Selous. Very sad for a tough guy to leave this world the way he did. Let’s pray the murderers are caught. I hope to see Luke in Nashville.
