I made it to the range last Sunday with the BRX1 as well as my budget .375 Ruger build. Results were quite good, but I only shot at 50 yards since the range was fairly busy. I always start at 50 yards when sighting in. At that range, the Beretta put four shots into 1/2" with 180 grain Power Shoks, then I pulled the fifth one and opened the group up to 1." Everything functioned very well, so I'm going to declare this one a keeper. Next time I'll shoot some 100 yard groups and try different ammo. I have a pile of 200 grain Terminal Ascent for my other .300WM, so hopefully the Beretta likes them too. Since the range trip I've swapped the recoil pad to get LOP right, bought two spare magazines, added a TBAC CB brake to mount a suppressor, and bought a Nanuk takedown case for it. Just need scope caps to complete the poor man's R8 setup.
The budget .375 was also a success. That one was assembled mostly with Black Friday deals that I've detailed in another thread. I was sighting in the new scope, a GPO Spectra 6 1.5-9, and messing around with slip-on recoil pads to improve LOP. I found it to be much nicer with a 14.25" LOP than the original 13.5," both in terms of recoil and pointability. It comes to my shoulder like a rather chunky bird gun and points where I'm looking with the longer LOP. It's now at the gunsmith for a new pad/spacer and to get the NECG express sights installed.
As a final cherry on top of what was a really nice range day, my problem child .223 build is finally feeding properly.
