Ah the road to Queenstown along the gorge. Been there a few times, as well as the others. Some good deer gullies below the snow line on the bottom pic .
I drove that road every week for years from South Otago up to Queenstown building in that area so know it rather well. Lovely part of the country and over the back of there is my usual hunting area above the Nevis creek between there and Bannockburn

I know some of the Bannockburn area, not so the Nevis river. There's some rugged country in there. I will be fishing Cromwell on return to NZ, where friends have a bach . Done the annual bunny hunts at Alexandra several times, it's lovely country down there. For good fishing I usually hang around Tekapo, the Maryburn gap/lake/stream, Tekapo river. I see the developers are going to further destroy the lake front near the pub, putting up a big tourist block. Barstewards

At the top, Bluff oysters to Nelson scallops from space. Second one looks like Queen Charlotte Sound with the inter-island RORO leaving Picton (I'll be on it enroute to Turangi and the Tongariro river Feb 2022) followed by Otago and the upper Waimakariri Rvr
If you are down this way do call in if you have a chance

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
