Barnes TSX vs. TTSX

Obviously these bullets are form the same manufacturer and seemingly the same material, however, are they the same hardness? I have read various places that the tipped version opens better, but is that due to the tip providing expansion or is it also a softer metal?

For instance, Chuck Hawks recommends the TSX, but not the TTSX for thick skinned dangerous game.

Anyone shot both and have any experiences to share?

Last week I ve got a message from Mark Sullivan.
(I asked him if he had any experience with the bonded bullets of Hornady).
He praises the Barnes X bullets in the highest tones.

I've used the 160gr tsx in my 7 mag for about 10 years. Expansion has always been perfect from 50 to the furthest beginning 529 yards. Anteope to elk with elk being the furthest but hit bone on entry.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
