For several years I have been "getting by" with temporary shooting set ups at my little range. Finally, the frustration drove me to buy a few dollars worth of lumber and plywood and tackle the job of getting a proper bench in place. Now I can get much better feed back on my rifles and loads.

Here is my friend Frank sighting in his deer rifle from the new shooting bench.

Good looking bench. Should make a big difference.

Looks sturdy, congrats !

Nicely done mike. That bench will serve you well for years to come.

@Nevada Mike - If you are looking for a lead sled to accompany your new bench, hit me up. I have a Caldwell that fits the bill nicely.

Nice, having your own little range set up comes first. The bench will always come later.
Priorities,
I would like to have some land with my own little range.

That is a seriously well-made bench. Do you mind sharing some additional pictures to get an idea of the layout. (y)

Ditto. A nice stretch that would allow 300 yard high power rifle shots safely out my back door would be ideal. Having one within a half hour drive would be nice too.

As is, I have to drive several hours for such things.

If you were interested in moving to Minnesota we have a spot less than 50 feet out the kitchen patio door with a bench and targets at 100, 200, 300 and 500 yards;)

Hoping to put it up for sale next year;)

Right there with you. In between 2 ranges.1-1/2 drive each way if the traffic is good. Ranges are only good out to 100 yards.

Appreciate the offer. As a born & bread upstate New Yorker...I've had enough snow for the rest of my life. I was a little tyke for the winter of 1976-77 that killed several people. We had snow up to the second story of our house and couldn't see out of most of the first-floor ones. Niagra-Mohawk (electric company) would televise PSA's telling kids not to touch power lines when sledding down snowbanks. Crazy stuff.

Apologies to the OP for the detour.
