Army & Navy .470 - Webley 1902

Thank you for sharing the classy rifle. Those old british singles are very appealing to the eye. At the weight it should be a bit sporty on recoil but not vicious. What do you plan on hunting with it?
Thanks Dave. The plan is to work on some load development for it, with the longer term goal being a buffalo/banteng hunt in NT.

I have a few A&N guns. The A&N CSL was basically a department store for officers going to all parts of the Empire. Their guns were solid and went everywhere.
Their gun records are available at the University of Glasgow. They may give you more specifics on its origins and owner.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
