Like many of you that started off with a 375 H&H, I am ready for something BIGGER. I want to stay with a bolt gun and i have decided in 458 Lott. I am looking at the Parkwest Arms Bushveld.

Any experience or feedback you can share on them?

Feel free to PM if needed.

I am ordering next week unless I can uncover any reasons not to.

Going to make your day as the following made mine. Ordered new 375 Bushveld and for the first time shot it last weekend. I’ve been deep in archery and until last week had not shot any rifle since 1995 and nothing big.

A little afraid at first shots:
Group 1: 1 1/2
Group 2: 1/1/4
Group 3: 1/2
Group 4: 3/4

Group 5: 1 but pulled first shot, following in same hole
Group 6: 3/4

Confident if I do my job 1/2 is possible all the time.

Shot off old tripod and rear bag so no sled.

The Bushveld shoots especially since the 6 groups were my first in 375, new rifle and first rifle since 1995.

I’m tall with long arms. Had Ward pick my custom length of pull at 15 1/8. Went premium stainless barrel. It looks just like the catalog except it’s brow.

Scope Swarovski Z8i 1-8x24

Ammo Barnes Safari 300 Grain TSX.

Now own 800 rounds of The Barnes and when I can complete the following 10 times in a row will book my buffalo and Kodiak hunts.
1 shot off the sticks at 100
Off hand at 75
Off hand at 50
Off hand at 25

All shots as fast as I can work the bolt.

Strong vote for Parkwest Bushveld!

Parkwest = Dakota.

Ward is still the shop manager. Their machinists and stockists are the same. Their action designs are the same. NO issues.

I spent some time with them today, looking and discussing a possible build. Certainly gave me lots to ponder. Seemed like super nice guys and the rifles they had at their both looked great.

I have a very early Dakota 76. I exchanged emails and calls with Ward and the team at Parkwest Arms last week. Very responsive and knowledgeable folks. I mailed my rifle to them for some minor work right after talking to them.

My friend Duke McCaa of Gulf Breeze firearms was a Dakota dealer for years.

He says the guns from Parkwest are top notch in every way. He says the Parkwest rifles will shoot moa or better. Even the big bores.

I have bought several Dakotas from Duke and he is top notch.

I am currently looking at ordering a Parkwest myself in 375 H and H.

Spent alot of time at their booth both times I went to DSC and they were extremely accommodating to someone who can't afford to buy one of their guns. So I cannot speak directly about the guns other than handling them, but the chaps there are top notch.

I thought seriously about ordering one at the show. They had a synthetic stock, matte finish rifle that spoke to me. Unfortunately they could not guarantee that I would have it in time for my hunt in June

Buy with supreme confidence from Matt
