Any Hi-Power shooters out there?

The HP is not my carry gun as it is a bit unconfortable carrying concealed as we should do over here.
My every day carry is a Taurus GC3 with extended mag 15+1 always on me where I'm going.

How do you like your taurus g3c?...its my car gun when back in town out and about....great little package

I inherited my father's late 60's/early 70's era Belgium Browning. He had it worked over my Cylinder and Slide, sights replaced, runs like a sewing machine. I had it engraved after he passed. I shoot it once a year. I bought the Springfield Armory SA35 and had Nighthawk Customs put their reliability package on it. Again - runs like a sewing machine.

There's a story behind the Browning High 9. And one reason why I'm not a fan of the 9mm. Granted 9mm ammunition has improved and developed over the last couple of decades. I still prefer my Para Odinance Double Stack 1911 45 ACP.

When the Browning Hi-9 first came on the market a police officer, who was also a firearms fanatic, when out and purchased one for his duty firearm.

That same night or a couple of nights later when he started his shift. He responded to a domestic disturbence. Seems a guy twice the officers size was weilding a baseball bat and hyped up on cocaine was threatening everyone in the apartment complex.

The officer called for back up, lucky for the officer. The perpetrator didn't yield to the initial officer's commands, headed toward the initial officer threatening the officer with bodily harm. The officer had little choice but to empty his 9 rounds of 9mm into the perpetrator. The 9 rounds that might have had some effect on any normal person had zero stopping effect on this guy.

As the perpetrator was swinging his bat toward the officer's head back up arrived and the assisting officer sent a 38 Special bullet into the perpetrators head stopping the attack and (fatally) neutralizing the situation.

My father and I always had the 9mm vs .45 debate. But as far as platforms are concerned, I figured if the SAS were happy with the HP, who was I to complain.

Not being rude but that is operator error, not too smart to shoot something more than 2-3 times in the body with no reaction, there is a problem Houston, vest, drugged, no enough bullet, aim for Central Nervous System, I know I had security training also & not condoned in rules of engagement but ??

I was/are still a .45 guy but Hell just shoot better & it works !

Like I was amazed on the Eland Cow, I can’t exactly remember now but I think a neck shot, all over one shot, I was amazed but my main tracker was Ho Hum normal 9mm lol !

He was the tracker I shot the Cobra off near him.

Probarbly has sent about 1200 rounds through it by now always with a smile.
If you learn the trigger reset it actually has a very trigger.
It's also quite accurate for a semi compact.

Underrated. I have the G2C primarily as a snake gun on hunts, but i used to CC with it. It's under $200 so i don't mind that barrels don't like snake shot. Had to take care of a Rinkals in my yard here a few days ago. But the price point is fantastic.

The BHP is good enough for Raymond Reddington. :ROFLMAO:
