I don't understand why paying some private party gets you past the lines to enter the country and get your permit. Does the contractor bribe the Customs officials to skip the line, or what?
It's Africa.

I get that, but adding over $100 for FedEx radically changes the value proposition. It could be that different companies require different things.
And as was said..........It's Africa
They received my fax about a minute later. You don't have to use FedEx and spend $100 you can use the USPS for $20 and hope that the paperwork arrives in time.
I used USPS and sent my paper work in to the permit company the end of January, they received it about a month later. It was a good thing that I sent it 4 months ahead of when I was going to arrive.
AfricaSky wins this conversation I do believe!!!They received my fax about a minute later.
And that's enough from me on this subject.
AfricaSky provides this service - I just completed my SAPS 520 to email to them!Do Africa sky and Afton house provide this service if your not staying with them or is it only for guests?
This discussion of sending originals strikes me as a bit odd - and expensive.
I've used AfricaSky for my permits on my last three safaris and I've always just faxed the paperwork. Even the notarized stuff. No cost and no trouble.
