another reminder...get it while the getting is good

Never could understand the lure of a Corvette. I mean where the devil do you put a trailer hitch on one of those things? :E Shrug:
On the frame after you do an 8" lift!

This subject has come up a couple of times this past week while talking to friends. It can be frustrating trying to explain a concept that seems so obvious… “everyone’s clock is ticking, the clock may quit tomorrow and time cannot be purchased”. I think I may have convinced one of my old hunting and fishing buddies to give it a go next August in SW AK for some silver fishing.

My dad said the same thing. It was a useless vehicle because there was no provision for a hitch.

I made the mistake of not getting it while the getting is good. I retired at 71 two years ago. My job was easy and I was making good money, although I could have retired at 50-55 because my wife was making good money and we made some very good investments in real estate and the stock market.
We had two really good years post retirement. Tomorrow I go in for a triple bypass.
Hope everything turned out excellent.

Glad your friend is OK and your plans can go ahead.
Life is short. I’m nearing 70 and have had my own health issues, including an upcoming knee replacement, which put some hunt plans on hold. Additionally, my wife has health issues that will dictate future events.
Do what you can, when you can. Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.

I agree to grab it when you can.

I retired at 55 and am now 70 and have loved every minute of those 15 years.

I've taken 2 trips to Africa, 3 trips to Canada for hunting, and a number of fishing trips.

But right now, I am facing a few health issues whichever would hinder me in taking most of those same trips.

I also took SSI at 62, and have used it to finance a few of those trips along with a new vehicle.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
