Finally got this home, ammo arrived, and I'm just waiting for the Warne rings (the proper ones this time).
Gave her a good cleaning and adjusted the trigger to 3# even. And, I have to say that I was prepared to order up a Timney module for this gun, but after playing with the trigger I think I'll stick with the stock trigger. It's got minimal creep, almost no over travel and is fairly crisp.

I also have the Leupold VX-R 1.25-4x20 ready to roll.

I've used the Leupold with the FireDot before and they are a great game scope.

congratulations!

although id recommend getting a more powerful scope, the 375 H&H is hardly a short range cartridge. I use a Leupold 1-6x24 with the same reticle but a 3-9 power would probably be just as good If not better. I wouldn't hesitate to use the 375 H&H out to 300 yards with the right bullet.

Be careful following this advice!!!! It is dangerous!!!!

I bought the same scope you did for the same rifle. And then someone told me to get a 2x10 scope to extend the range, just like Matt told you. So I did.

Well.... I had this extra vx-r sitting in the safe. I was going to sell it, but never got around to it. So.... instead I bought a .458 Lott to attach that extra scope to. You know, so I didn't misplace the scope. :A Smoke:

Great rifle, Great Caliber,

I agree with Matt, I have a 1-4 on one of my 375's and it is hard to ring the potential out of the great cartridge she is. Although mine has a German #4 reticule in it and is heavy as all get out, makes precise shot placement difficult at anything over 100 yards.
Cheers,
Cody

Congrats! I love mine and the d bet u will yours. Matt has a good point, I put a 2-7 Nikon on mine. Works like a champ

Royal has a point, now that you have a 375 your going to need a bigger rifle to keep it company. the 458 Lott is an excellent cartridge... plus you will have a place for the 1-4 scope.

Congrats it's a nice looking rifle

Glad you joined the 550 club. I carry a 458wm a lot, I suggest you rather go for the 416 rigby.

@Gce61 ...... Thats called snow huh..... ill have to write that down in my book of new words.

What a beauty!!!!!!!!!!! Exactly the one i'm getting however i'm thinking i may upgrade to .416 Rigby

great rifle , great caliber , enjoy

Hmmm- every time I buy the 'wrong' scope, my wife buys something to put it on...... A wife that shoots- a blessing & a curse. No problem convincing her a 'need' a firearm, but I gotta get two....

Nice rifle in legendary caliber.
Welcome to the club.
This is the beggining of addiction.
Good luck.

When I bought my 375HH it came with a Burris 1x4, I thought i'd sight it in at 100yds with 300gr, and then use a 4x12 Leupold shooting lighter bullets at greater distances, I soon discovered how well it shot 300gr out to 200 meters and decided to scrap the light bullet idea and stayed with the 4x12,,go with a 2x7 or a 3x9

I used to shoot targets at 300 yards on a regular basis using a 375 H&H loaded with Hornady 300gr spire point boat tail bullets (they don't make these any more).

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!

Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!
