Green. Absolutely.
Actually, green might be a bit low. I put the second shot into my bull standing almost straight on at that level. The bullet missed his heart and exited at back end of rib cage smashing his left knee. Possibly deflected when it hit him but no significant bone structure in his chest. He spun around in place about three times, sat on his butt, tipped over, and it was all over. First shot broadside did the mortal damage. Blew up both lungs and major blood vessel(s) above the heart.

Green for initial shot

Blue during a charge and only when the Cape buffalo is under seven yards away and has lowered it’s horns for impaling you

Well having no field experience with hunting buffalo, which will be fixed next June, I would shoot where my PH tells me to shoot.
My initial thought was a shot into the green.

Green and second quick shot from the double chest or any heavy bone!

Easy. Green because the bull is quartering towards shooter from left (shooter's left). Yellow would hit too far back at that angle. Best that could be achieved would be taking out one lung. One lung is not enough. Blue would glance off the skull with nose up in the air. Red would probably not break its neck at that angle or cut a jugular. Even cutting one jugular would not kill him fast enough. Green should take out his heart.

Edit: An old thread that I answered already. My mistake. Old timers' disease strikes again.

I'd go green and if that turns him at all, pound that yellow dot from the side.

I have been thinking about this a long time and hope to do a brain shot if it works out my 416 is very accurate.

Green Green & more Green! Then follow up where ever possible based on how he reacts.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
