I'm in need of some boxes for 8-bore 3.25" ammunition. Anyone know someone who could make these for me?

I'm not looking for something fancy, just practical.

Thank you

Are you looking for something made of wood, plastic or maybe leather?

Interesting, you might give Ken Owens a call. With the work he has done on the really big bore’ I would guess he has either made or has found for a customer.

I’m thinking you could bore holes into a wood block. Deeper on the bottom to hold the shells and shallow on the top to keep it from sliding around. Maybe some small foam circles in the top and bottom to keep them snug.

Kinda like a box that holds an alpha-numeric stamp set.

Was hoping for plastic, weight will be a real issue.

Might take a small pelican case and cut holes in the foam to match cartridges.

The Pelican 1200 comes with Pluck-n-Pull foam. Could work for you.

I'm interested in the 28 gauge Ruger, if you still have it.

I've been hunting and shooting all my life in So Cal. Luckily, I've passed it on to my son who does his thing on the East coast except when we get together for some outdoor activities. I shoot just about anything that goes bang including rifle, shotgun and muzzleloaders. I've scratch-built several flint rifles and a couple of pistols and rebuilt several old muzzlestuffers for friends.
