Me and some friends are wanting to go fish in the Amazon sometime in 2026 or early 2027. We're really wanting to get somewhere remote down there but also have some good fishing. It's been tough to find more than a handful of operators there and even tougher to find reviews of them. Some have looked good but it's hard to tell how far from the main towns they go. Does anyone have a good outfitter they can recommend? Those who have been would you recommend Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, etc..? Any recommendations or advice is appreciated. Thanks

The thing about fishing the Amazon is that your success is dependent on the water level, if you are staying at a lodge and the river is 2' higher than normal - YOUR SCREWED!

If your living and fishing on a boat then the boat simply moves to a better area.

Me and 6 friends went with Ron Speed Jr. on their amazon peacock bass fishing trip aboard the Otter river boat and had a great time.

I will warn you though, Bill Mullins the booking agent is a bit of an idiot and we had to deal with several issues regarding his communication skills ..... or lack there of.

Thank you! I'll give him a call. That definitely makes sense to stay on a boat instead of a lodge, I hadn't thought about how much the water levels could change down there.

I fished with these folks a few years ago.

Had a GREAT trip!

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
