Alternatives to Wall Mounting Euro Mounts

Military assignment has me relocating to an apartment and I'm preferring to put as few screws in the wall as possible. Does anyone have a way that they display European mounts/skull plates without needing to drive a screw into the wall? I've got around a dozen, nothing bigger than a gemsbok. Would prefer to steer away from the tree style mount, but willing to hear folks out. Always appreciate the direction I get on here!

I used to have a table top pedestal with a feral hog skull on it. I thought it was pretty good but I ended up needing that space and went to skull hookers.
I probably still have the pedestal somewhere and will take a picture of it when I get home if I can find it.

They work well for our Barbary sheep euros that are very heavy. Might be an option for some antelope

One of the guys here in Germany has a galvanized bucket he filled with concrete about 6 feet tall and he has skull-hookers bolted to it. He has about 10 or 12 skulls on it.

Made this using 1” mild steel plate, some 3/16” tread plate, and chain. Used skullmax upright for the actual attachment to the skull.

You can also combine multiple skulls on a same pedestal. I’ll admit that the taxidermist responsible for this work, didn’t do the most elegant work. But for a first it’s not so bad.

The nice thing with the tree idea is that you can place it in a corner or along a wall. And with you being in the military and quite likely moving around it is quite portable and can be set up just about anywhere.

I was looking at their skull plate design for my Gemsbok but it said it isn't designed for larger game, anyone have experience with this?

I’m totally hi-jacking this thread, but looking for some help/ideas and advice

I had a large kudu horn I shot from a 1 horn bull and I want to have it mounted standing.

My idea is to fill the first third with some compound of sorts and have a hole with the desired depth to make it stand how it want.

Any advice of what I should fill it with? I don’t want the horns to crack is my only worry is if the compound expands too much?

how I would like the horn to sit on the rod.

If you wanted to put something on the wall you could make a loop like I did here with a wire coat hanger through the back of the skull. Below where a skull hooker would stick. This then hangs on one of those long curved hooks that you stick in and twist. I’ve seen them called monkey hooks and they work at least for deer sized game. I’ve got a fallow and axis hanging this way. It is a hole but it’s just one that is easily patched. Depending on the patch and wall color, you may not have to repaint.

Stain an 8' 1x4 and screw to the wall with 2-3 screws and hang everything off of it. I did this in my loading room with skull hangers.

I highly recommend the skull hooker tree - easy to setup and easy to move around and adjust the display. I use it for whitetail skulls but imagine it’s strong enough for much larger.

Certainly is. I took him in 2022 off a piece of ground I manage. I’d known about him for the 4 years before taking him.

Figured out the DIY horn display for table or shelf.

On most mounts the horns are removable. Maybe for the time being while you can’t hang stuff, You can display your favorites like this. I think a pair of kudu horns upright on either side of the TV would look great.
