ALERT!!!! Important Notice for All Who Imported And Exported Trophies Into or From the U.S.

Thanks for the headsup Robert! I just looked at the FWS site and saw nothing about it but its such a mess I don't know how anyone could find anything on there. Half the pages you click on wont open, sorta useless. Please let us know when this happens so we can go and opt out or not.

Thanks!
I will keep a I on it ..... and let all know when it's posted.....

Any news on this topic?
Thanks in advance for your assistance on this.
Randy

I think we need to make it a goal to dig up as much crap on these organizations as possible to show how monstrous they're acting behind the scenes from money laundering to vandalism. I think we should make a Facebook group or a thread dedicated to finding as many anti threats ass possible and rubbing it in their faces like a dog that took a dooky on the carpet. Don't let people get away with talking smack about people and their families.

I can't wait for the FOIA that requests the identities of those that opt out! You know that's next. If only these antis spent as much money or time on finding a cure for AIDS or cancer, they might actually do some good in the world. Instead, they're contributing to climate change spewing their hot air!

I fall into this group as well. I probably not going to opt out. They can kiss my ass. They better damn sure be looking for a fight if they show up at my door.

I'm with you gizmo! They can kiss my ass!

Well, I live in GA, and hunting and fishing is a way of life, specially in Middle Georgia. We can show our friends some Southern Hospitality, and at the same time we can show those antis POS some Southern Hostility. Bring it on, oh yeah, they can call kiss my ass as well.

Lol. When I move down we must have a drink together and curse them antis out!

Yes sir. Do you by any chance smoke cigars? I am a cigar smoker and have a beautiful covered patio which is perfect for that. (y)

Now don't but I'll sit and drink. I'll bring the Italian cheese and salami

Now we are talking :)

I'd probably be as polite as possible. You need to be the better man because when the antis throw a b***h fit, you'll be the good guy.

I contacted SCI in Arizona this afternoon out of curiosity and asked if I could 'opt out' of being included on the USFG LIST and they didn't act like they were aware of the issue but forwarded me to the SCI office in Washington DC. Don't get it!

Probably busy measuring a trophy for a new grand slam they are working on and missed the memo.

Dear Fellow Hunters,

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is asking for comments regarding the release of potentially personal and confidential information in records under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) related to the import and export of wildlife specimens, including hunting trophies. According to the Notice published in the Federal Register on November 1, 2016, the USFWS is currently in litigation with Humane Society International (HSI), which is challenging the agency’s decision to withhold personal and trade secret information contained in the agency’s Law Enforcement Management Information System (“LEMIS”) and requested by HSI under FOIA for the years 2002-2010, 2013, and 2014. LEMIS contains information submitted by importers and exporters and compiled by the agency, including personal information.

The USFWS is requiring anyone who wishes to object to the release of their information to submit comments by November 22, 2016. The Notice, which includes instruction for submitting comments, can be found here: https://www.fws.gov/le/businesses.html If you do not submit comments, the USFWS will assume you do not object to the release of your information.

If you would like assistance, our attorneys at Barclay Damon LLP, Syracuse NY (315) 425-2710

Just got of the phone with USFWS to claim an exemption under 7C of the Freedom of Information Act. I was informed that they will NOT release "private citizens" names both under sections 6C and 7C. So unless you are Coppersmith, or SSI, etc. your private information will not be released.

Give them bogus info..... Name: Howey Feltersnatch, 123 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield, USA. Let them waste money on postage & return mail/propaganda/etc.

Hi Robert,

I opened the web site that you provided in your excellent post here.
Found nothing pertaining to USFWS intending to provide criminals (***Anti-Hunting Groups who like to make death threats towards teenage girls that hunt giraffe and such plus, who have vandalized Hunter's unattended vehicles along USA back roads, while hunting season is on, etc., etc.***)

So, took my best guess and tapped on their "Professional Responsibility Unit" section listing.
While remaining polite (hard to believe, I know) and within their box provided, I described this rumor that USFWS was intending to provide Law Abiding Citizen's personal contact information, to well known ***Criminal Organizations***.

I said that, if this is true and not just a rumor, would they reconsider since we, (International Hunters) have wives and children / grand children who do not need to be assailed by such aggressive criminals and that, we are otherwise their (USFWS's) loyal supporters plus, we would never provide their (USFWS's) personal contact information to such death threatening, vehicle vandalizing, Criminal Organizations.

No response from the USFWS yet.

Cheers,
Velo Dog.
