What does this headspace off in the Gibbs parent case?

Tim is finishing up a pair of 550 Magnums for a client's Alaskan bear hunt (wet and in the Jess)
Wood is a CZ stock from the customer and a B&C (the B&C is well made and a good match to
the CZ550 action). Mercury tube in buttstock, custom barrel profile with 0.890" muzzle (adds weight and balance out the mercury tubes).

CZ actions built on the B&C. Just like the feel and grippy. Posting photos is

550 Magnum is based on the 460 Weatherby case, hence is a belted magnum and headspaces off the belt.

It was made in shortened 460 wby brass blown out calld express, full length 460wby brass blown out, full length 505 gibbs brass blown out. Have plenty of 505 blown out .550 head stamped brass aswell. Plenty of actions aswell. That is why I am wavering. I am not in a hurry. Probably build it on GMA ACTION WITH 505 GIBBS FOR THE CASING.

I'm torn between a ghost shoulder and the very subtle taper paired with the case mouth.

230 in that weight rifle's gonna leave a mark! What is the parent case?? Many other big bores have several pounds on top of that which of course help to maximize accuracy and minimize recoil.

Free recoil is about 133 ft-lbs at 27 ft/s...but a maiden's kiss...like a mule...

From what I have heard is with 26 inch heavy barrel, weighted stock, it is milder than other .5 calibers. I have not shot mine but . He may be able to shine some light on this @RR 314

FH, yes it has a ghost shoulder but can head space off of the case mouth or extractor.

Love this practical finish I would just love to have the bolt handle made longer the CZ550 bolts tend to be a bit short.
Then topped with a Trijicon SRO in 1 MOA this would be close to the perfect DG and Backup rifle.

thanks for the welcome. My main interest is large bore bolt rifles, mostly with integral barrels and I am quite fond of the newer Mauser action clones such as GMA, Mayfair, Prechtl (which is the closest to original) and of course, rifle barrel design.

For those interested, I think Tim at Matrix Gunsmithing will be offering
large caliber “package specials” based on integral barrels and upgraded CZ 550 magnum actions (he was lucky to acquire a limited quantity of CZ actions before they sold out) and he just got in a barrel blank order (.375 thru .510 calibers) so key components in stock and would expect quick turn on orders.
Check his website around mid-October.
