Dear AH Members,

For 2026 I would like to put together and host an AH Group Hunt for AfricaHunting.com members. This hunt will be in the Limpopo Valley, the most northern part of South Africa in the Limpopo Province. AH Gold Supporter @Green Chile will be the Guest Host on the hunt and will be present in camp during the hunt. He has personally hunted the area with me a number of times chasing all kinds of game and critters including 4 of the Dangerous 7, numerous Plains Game and night critters.

We want to add a little twist to this group hunt with the focus being on Dangerous Game as this is a great area to hunt Buffalo, Crocodile, Lion, Hippo and also to do a rhino dart, which several AH members have done here. Of course, it will not be limited to Dangerous Game! If a member wants to focus on Plains Game and/or night critters that would be great and he would still be more than welcome to join. There are over 35 species of Plains Game and numerous night critters available for your hunt! If you have never experienced Dangerous Game Hunting, this is a great way to get started on up to 5 of them!

The area available to hunt is 20,000 Acres in size with the lodge situated inside the hunting area. There is a perimeter fence but there is no cross-fencing internally. There are 6 chalets available at the lodge so we would like to host 6 hunters. This will be a 7 Day/8 Night Hunt. If you want to bring an observer or non-hunter to share your room, you are welcome to do so for a small daily fee. If you would like to share your hunt with another hunter of your acquaintance, that can be arranged at a 2x1 rate. This is a great way to introduce a family member or friend to DG and have your support along the way.

One of the aspects that will make this a special offer is that we will be using a videographer to capture at least one day of everyone’s experience. Each evening after dinner, we will be sharing raw video footage of that day’s experiences for everyone to enjoy and cheer each other on. If the group desires, the videos can be combined after the hunt into a group video of everyone’s experience

I would like to hear your thoughts on this and if there would be any interest in hosting a group hunt like this in late June/early July 2026?

We are gauging interest but we’ll be making more details and costs available when it becomes an offer in the hunt classifieds. It will be priced very reasonably as Dieter and I want to do something fun for the forum. I would love to spend time with any forum members who would want to join us. This hunt is not being offered elsewhere as it’s for AH members who would like to share a camp and hunt some interesting species.

Sounds like a lot of fun and I like the idea of sharing camp with some other AH members that we all talk with here on the forum. I’m getting to a point though that I’m running out of space for bringing trophies home. Would you be open to including a cull option or a cull/female buffalo for those who don’t want to bring any animals back home?

@MontanaPat thank you! Yes Buffalo Cow's will also be available to hunt for those interested in rather doing a Buff Cow

I love the idea!!!! Thinking how to get a feel for pricing/packages/times
@Rare Breed thanks!! If there's enough interest in putting together a group hunt like this I'm going to put an add in the "Deals & Offers" Section with pricing, a detailed description, info etc.

The Croc hunt looks interesting to me. What size Croc would be a reasonable expectation and would it be river or lake hunting?

I think for the photo and video sections of such a hunt, AfricaHunting.com hats should be a requirement. ;)

Crocs are an excellent subject at this location. I have told many hunters about Dieter's setup, which is the best I have seen for hunting crocs. Many crocs are taken elsewhere by baiting and that is an option of course but Dieter stalks them along the lake edge! It is a lot of fun to be walking the edges and have them explode out from underneath the cut bank you are standing on. If that doesn't get your blood flowing then I don't know what will! We stalked in close to this one and took it at about 40 yards. It was 13.5 feet and I saw some larger and many in that size range. There are well over 1000 crocs in this lake on the property. I will post a video of a baboon that I shot and gave to the crocs to give you a sense of the place.

Sounds like a very fun hunt. I’ll be looking out for the pricing and other details. Appreciate y’all working to put this type of hunt together.

I am very interested in the details as well. Have just started looking for something to hunt in 2026. Would be interested in Rhino dart, and buffalo for sure.

This is a very good opportunity for a rhino dart experience. I have done that with Dieter and @Mtn_Infantry has recently done a rhino dart here as well. The buff population here is excellent and in good sustainable condition. These are proper tracking hunts for buff in the mopane and thorns!

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
