Matt, Check out the Excalibur Hotel and Casino as well as others from the list of hotels affiliated with the Safari Club International, here is the link: http://www.showsci.org/hotels/.
The nice thing about a hotel affiliated with the SCI is that they should have a free shuttle/bus service going back and forth during opening hours from the listed hotels to the convention center. Feel free to call SCI to confirm before booking your hotel.

I live in southern California. about 3.5 hours or so from vegas! I will be attending with my boy of nine. he loved it! last year was his first year and he couldn't get enough! though, with work, I am more than likely only able to make it for Saturday. but I can knock it all out in one day! haha. I just wish I could get in on the auctions! I also may be in the market for a cheetah hunt in Namibia for 2016. or new Zealand. not sure yet. we will see!
