I purchased a set of bound volumes from Neels Geldenhuys, the owner and editor of this so called esteemed high end publication.

I have had no end of trouble getting these books that were prepaid for.

Now I can establish any contact with anyone from African Outfitter.

Does anyone know if they still exist and any contact detail?

They still exist, I have had a subscription for about fours years. Delivery from RSA is not reliable or timely. I have an email at home somewhere

The web site has a message claiming is has been hacked and is currently down

I have called all the numbers readily available. I have also sent unanswered e-mails and even texts messages.

One has problems finding the magazine in South Africa...

Thank you BRICKBURN for the posting

The number you have provided is/was the number of Neels Geldenhuys himself.

He does not respond to any calls or text messages.

He personally promised me that the books I purchased were available in an e-mail on May 10th. Since then it became impossible to communicate with him or any of his staff.

It seems to me he may have done a runner.

I have looked for the email address, and can not find it. I will look again this weekend.

I am the same am due 2 copies that are paid for and am not getting replys to emails

I too received an email from him. He stated that two issues will arrive together in the next mailing and that he was having some business problems, with advertisement revenue and staffing. He futher stated the new issues would be thinner, but would have the same amount of written content, just less advertisements. I suspect with a drop in ad revenue, other changes may be coming as you can't live on subscription fees and make a profit.

Received the same note. It doesn’t bid well.

It has taken a very long time but at least I have now received the items I paid for.

It is sad but true that there are serious problems atAfrican Outfitter.

Claims of not receiving e-mails, text messages, phone calls etc. There is also high staff turnover.

I don’t wish any ill on anyone, but the red light is not only flashing, it is fully and brightly lit.

I hope the company can overcome the economic issues and jeep on producing an excellent nagazine.

I have a subscription through Magzter (electronic versions) and the latest they have is May/June, also 2 issues behind...

I received my two issues today. Reading what he had happen to him and the drop in ad revenue, I am shocked that he managed to continue with the magazine. I will be renewing in January at DSC.

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe
