African Hunting Wishlist

Another buffalo... I’m addicted!
Nyala
Bushpig
Grant’s and Thompson gazelles
Another warthog... I’m addicted to those too.
Duiker

1 Leopard
2 Roan
3 second Cape buffalo
4 second and bigger hippo
5 a Botswana elephant

numbers three through five with the 470 NE

52” Cape Buffalo
Elephant with 120lb tusks
60” kudu
Or if those can’t be located, maybe a Gemsbok, smaller kudu and warthog. I’m not too particular?

Hello Hunters

I would be interested to know what everyone's African wishlist is. I'll start with mine

1. Greater Kudu
2. Sable Antelope
3. Cape Buffalo
4. Oryx
5. Lord Derby's Giant Eland
6. Warthog
7. Nile Crocodile
8. Blue Wildebeest
9. Hippo
10. Buchbuck
Pretty good list! I just need LDE and Sable.

Remaining critters, In probable order of preference, though opportunity and wallet would have greater impact:

Cape Buffalo, Greater Kudu, Nyala, Gemsbok, Waterbuck, Eland

And, of course, a Big 5 would be awesome but I need to find some sponsors to fund that adventure.

My "list" isn't so much about collecting animals but it is more about experiences. I'm not motivated by size of trophies. I'd love to spend some time with really good trackers, learning some of their craft, while figuring out the whereabouts of something like an old Eland or another Kudu. I'd also like to do some more hunting that requires a physical effort while spotting and stalking. Mountain zebra would meet that goal, as would Vaal Reedbuck. I haven't hunted elephant yet, so tracking a non-trophy elephant would combine goal #1 with a species that i'd like to hunt for the first time. I'd like to hunt buffalo in semi - open woodland, as a contrast to the open grasslands that I hunted them in recently. Stalking in close to a group would be an exciting challenge. If ever given the opportunity to hunt leopard, I'd want to do the whole thing - scout, locate, set baits, build blinds, and wait up. Would seem like the whole process would be more rewarding than to show up at a bait that is being regularly visited. Perhaps I lied a little in my second sentence. I'd like to shoot a big tusked warthog. I just like the way they look! ...There are so many more possibilities!

Hello there. I’ve been wanting to introduce myself personally & chat with you about hunting Nilgai. Give me a call sometime…

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
