For those looking for vintage books on africa hunting you might want to try your local library’s E books. My local library is pretty small but through it I can access millions of free E Books through a network called Overdrive. There are probably other networks, I don’t know. I’d much rather read a paper book but beggars cant be choosers.

Not necessarily vintage books, but the best way I’ve found to buy books to read is used books on Amazon. Type in the title you want, it will show you new options first, then go used other sellers option, and often you’ll find $3-$5 books from goodwill or Salvation Army.

Yeah, Amazon is good for cheap used books.

I recommend Internet Archive for downloading free pdf copies of books published before1926, and the borrowing of post-1926 pdf books for an hour - or to two weeks in some cases. I have downloaded in excess of 50 exploration and hunting books on Africa. But one classic hunting book, Eighteen Years on Lake Bangweulu by J.E. Hughes (1933), is not available on Internet Archive. However, I have made it available on pdf, scanned from my copy of the original book. Go to my crowdfunding site at https://ko-fi.com/s/4844c8b905 and donate to my Landsafe work in exchange for a copy.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
