Tonight , I am going to share a very interesting video with our fellow members of African Hunting Forums .
In 1961 , an American gentle man by the name of Mr. Fred Bear had come to India . He was a special guest of his Royal Excellence , the Maharaja Of Bundi . Mr. Bear was a bow hunter . He preferred to hunt his quarry with a re curve bow & arrow . On this particular shikar ... he intended to take a male royal Bengal tiger with his bow & arrow .

While most people ( myself included ) would consider hunting a royal Bengal tiger with a bow & arrow to be a suicide mission ... Mr. Bear had proved that nothing is ever set in stone .

During the time that this video was made ... I had already commenced working in Allwyn Cooper Limited ( in Nagpur ) as a professional shikaree , so this film was very much reflective of my time .

I did not have the privilege to guide this gentle man , personally . However , this particular shikar had received a great deal of ( positive ) media attention in all the states of India at the time .

As I share this video ... I also do so with an extremely heavy heart . Look at the beautiful shikar culture and the way of life my ( birth ) country used to have . Shikar season lasted 8 months of the year and it was a large community oriented activity ... which kept everyone extremely happy .

Indira Gandhi and her delusional vegan , tree hugging , cow urine drinking , fundamental Hindu socialist government destroyed everything in 1972 . By passing the so called " Wild Life Protection Act - 1972 " ... they took this all away from us and made India a poacher's paradise . They also sealed the fate of India's wild life .

Also , take note of the way in which the American shikarees treat the Indian locals . I only see respect ... and nothing else. This was the actual way in which most of our Western clients would treat us , back in those days .
Unfortunately , after 1972 ... the minds of every Indian was indoctrinated against Caucasians . Suddenly , the American , European or Australian client shikarees coming to India .... were painted as " White Destroyers Of Nature & White Exploiters Of The People . "

Gandhi and her thugs took away the ancestral power , properties and fire arms of our Royal Excellences . They stripped them of their birth rights . Our Maharajas were reduced to nothing ... among society . Their crime ? That they were " Boot Lickers To White Oppressors " .

Therefore , I cannot help but feel sad and angry ... as I share this video .
Also look at some of the comments made by Indian people in the " comments section " of this video on " You Tube " . You can clearly see a deep and irrational racially biased hatred towards Westerners and the dearly deceased Mr. Bear ... just by looking at the comments . I honestly find it sickening how these people are proudly gloating about " Over filling Europe with more Indians than Europeans ... as a form of revenge " .

The reason why I have shared this video with all of my fellow forum members ... is because ( aside from entertainment purposes ) , I want you all to understand how valuable hunting and shikar was to our culture . And how , 1 renegade government permanently took it all away from us .
Due to the radically retarded manner in which all the youth of India have been indoctrinated against hunting and meat eating , ever since 1972 ... I have strong doubts that shikar may ever be permitted in India , ever again.

That is why I earnestly implore each and every single 1 of you . Do not let the anti hunters win . Ever . Even caving in , to 1 of their demands is a serious loss for the international hunting community . These anti hunting swines do not get placated . They merely get more aggressive in going after hunting . Do not ever let what happened to India ... happen to America , Canada , Europe , Africa and Australia .
I fear that Great Britain is already a lost cause . However , the rest of the world can still be saved . If we fight for it .

I sincerely hope that this video shall prove to be enjoyable .

Thank you major for you ever inspiring words and vigilant support. I fear If Canada continues down the path we are on we will be in much the same boat. Our government has just banned 1500 more firearms from civilian ownership.

Mr. Bear was a far braver man then I , I much prefer my odds with a .375 h&h.

Major Sir
The funniest accusation that these people make about hunters is that apparently we are all impotent sadists who “ Enjoy killing innocent animals in an attempt to achieve sexual gratification “ ! They completely ignore the fact that most of us are happily married fathers and grandfathers .
On the contrary , given that most anti hunters are leftists ; they are far more likely to practice sexual deviance that anyone in the hunting community ever will .
On a related subject , would you happen to know what Double Rifle Jagdish is holding ? It looks marvelous.

I personally would never hunt ANY dangerous game with a bow & arrow , Skinnersblade ! During my 10 year career as a professional shikaree , I have only guided 1 client who wanted to hunt a royal Bengal tiger with a bow & arrow ... and I will never , ever do it again !

For me ... fire arms are the only safe way to hunt anything which can potentially hunt me back . For tackling royal Bengal tigers ... I would want nothing smaller in my hands than a 7×57 mm Mauser calibre rifle ( and even that is REALLY stretching things ! ) .

It is truly depressing what Justin has done to the once great nation of Canada . In my humble opinion ... your Prime Minister should be acting in romantic drama films , instead of running the country .
He is a politically correct left wing boot licker .

I absolutely despise politicians who compromise the well being of their own people ... in order to look altruistic to other countries .

That was an excellent video major, is that near the area where you hunted?
This was right in 1 of the areas where I would hunt Black Buck and Chinkara ... back in those days , Skinnersblade . I have also guided clients for shikars of royal Bengal tigers in this area ... after taking permission from His Royal Excellence .

Let us not spoil the mood of this wonderful video by discussing spineless leaders further.

Fascinating, if I may ask how did your political structure work in those days? Was his royal excellence also the authority figure in the region? How far would of his influence covered.
I hate to ask this because I fear it could dredge up painful memories for you fine gentleman but did any of the palaces survive in the wake of the ghandi regime?

It is somewhat disturbing that it is always the anti hunters who like to draw an analogy with something of a sexual nature , Panther Shooter . That speaks volumes about them ... than it does about us .
Jagdish's double barreled side by side rifle was built by the English brand , James Purdey and was chambered in 500/465 Nitro Express calibre . Jagdish had quite a stock of old ICI Kynoch 480 grain soft point and solid metal covered cartridges , in his possession ... which were imported in to India , prior to 1947 .

His Royal Excellence controlled this part of Burti ... at the time , Skinnersblade .
He was loved by all his people and a greatly respected man . In 1972 , Indira Gandhi took all of his power , wealth and property away ... which is what she did to all of the local Maharajas and Land Lords , as well .
None of this exists anymore , today .

Did any of the royal lines survive? Perhaps flee to Bangladesh? It would be an terrible history and cultural loss.
The hardships forced apon your people were barbaric.

There are some of them in America and Portugal now , Skinnersblade . They fled India after 1972 .

Good I feared a rabid regime could of inprisoned or executed the royals. It's an unfortunately frequent event throughout history.

How did the common soldier fair after the war ? Were you allowed to retain your properties?

The Liberation War of 1971 was between Bangladesh ( then known as East Pakistan ) and Pakistan ( then known as West Pakistan ) , Skinnersblade .
I sold all of my property in Nagpur in 1972 , as soon as I possibly could ... when I permanently established residence in Bangladesh .
Indira Gandhi's government took away the property of a GREAT MANY people ... after she came to power , by making various excuses :
> Maharajas
> Land Lords
> Muslims
> Europeans ( The 1s whose families had chosen to voluntarily remain behind in India , after 1947 . )

The most famous example ( among the international shikar community ) is that retard Kenneth Anderson's son , Don Anderson .
Don used to live in Prospect House in Bangalore in a lavish mansion , with a great deal of property . They reduced him to living in the out house of an Indian woman , without even possessing enough money to pay for his medication ... at the time of his death in 2014 .

I can see why you loved it and are sad to see a part of a rich heritage destroyed. A wonderful walk back in time. I enjoy your stories very much.

Jim
Why thank you so much , Jim . It is my utmost privilege that you enjoy my articles so much . Hopefully , you shall continue to do so ... in the foreseeable future .

Fascinating video! I wonder what draw weight he used for his bow. I’ve read Fred Bear was an amazing shot. Seeing him draw and shoot is impressive. He must have had nerves of steel.

Thank you for this post!
It is my utmost privilege that you have enjoyed this video so much , Tra3 . What really impressed me ... was that Mr. Bear actually designed all of those arrow barbs , himself . They were his own design , and he had them forged from the steel of vehicular leaf springs .
