A thread derailed before it even began….

Toilet paper.
rifle, shot gun, pistol and a boat load of ammo. Paper towels for when the TP runs out.
Tent with stove.
Chainsaw and axe and fuel.
Sweet feed (corn, oats, rye, molasses).
Couple of buckets,
Pots, pans, ext
A small still (for distilled water )
Jars
Yeast and sugar
Flour
More toilet paper
....
My heart don't work well enough for the hookers and cocaine... So my dream would be to camp out, make good liquor, and shoot stuff..

Hunter found this spring 20foot up very charred muttering “never seen a still go up like that before”!!
If you know him please come and get him chainsaw or big ass cheery picker needed for the retrieve.
He shout something about blaming this thread and is willing to sue:ROFLMAO:

I just played this game on Thursday with a group of students doing a bushcraft course

I asked what 10 things (inc one luxury) they wish they had if suddenly found themselves surviving a small plane crash in N Canada in the summer

I get them to write them down

Then I ask them again at the end of the course

I got some great initial suggestions inc one chap who thought a battery operated microwave would be just the ticket

Need a swede saw. .30-30 with 100 rds ammo. Chipmunk (Cricket) .22 with 1000 rds. 500 yds fishing line, 100 hooks. Estwing camp axe. File. decent large knife, decent small knife, two 2-sided diamond sharpeners. 3 Katahdin water filter pump thingies. Zippo, 3 packs flints, 3 bottles fuel. 3-4 sets good wool clothing, GOOD rain gear. 4-6-man tent, 16x20 tarp. Wrist -rocket sling shot. 10 pair AIH-type leather gloves. 2 wool watch caps. Waterproof hat, 3 neoprene ear bands. 100 lb beans, 100 lb rice would be good. Don't know where you'd store the TP but a year without it might dampen your will to survive.
Anybody remember those little sheet-metal AirTight wood stoves they used to sell? You could stick a roll of visquine, 3 sticks of stove pipe, 20 lb bean and rice mixed, 2 boxes of ammo an Arrow stapler and 2 boxes of staples and a roll of tie wire inside, lash it all to a packboard, and you were good to go for a couple months.
I forgot gun-cleaning stuff. Southeast AK will EAT your metal gear. Sure I forgot some other stuff too, but hey I'm old and it's late. A wood chisel or two would be nice. One of those egg-beater type hand drills would be nice too.

Rated in order without my wool and technical clothing

Being a minimalist, I think I could get by with a relatively few items. One, well stocked Winnebago and a fully functional, nearby Amazon drop box location.

Everything, including the four-section wood floor fit in the back of my half ton pickup with canopy. Minus the floor, lawn chair, and card table, it all fit on my two horses. There's four top loading pack boxes not in the photo. Those were for horses. With lids open the boxes became table. Or I sat on them.

Best post so far - details, fits the hypothetical circumstances well, photos helpful too

Thanks. I see one of the pack boxes at the head of the cot with tin can alarm clock and ball cap on top. Note the screen door handle on the side of the box. Those kept the basket hitch in place when slung on the horse. Also handy for lifting the boxes. I still have everything but the floor. It rotted away long ago. Haven't used the outfit in years. I must make an effort to camp with my grandson in that tent before it's too late. Even an overnighter would be an unforgettable experience for him.

Heck, it would be an unforgettable experience for me!

Oh, I could make it very unforgettable. No outhouse. When the weather turns to shit, I take a dump inside. Chinette paper plate is the receptical and poo goes in the stove. No mess (hopefully) and any odor is quickly drawn into the fire and up the stovepipe. Two things to keep in mind when employing this method. First, figuring out the correct bombsight adjustment in squat position requires practice. I suggest kitchen or bathroom at home. Somewhere with washable flooring. No carpets! Also I suggest practicing when spouse is at work and kids are in school. Or you may be spending more time in the tent than desired. Second precaution: Use only top quality paper plates! Cheap ones are too floppy. Ask me how I know.

You’ve provided the best shelter so far but I don’t see a battery of arms , any long term rations or plans for providing them and no means of entertainment to stave off cabin fever.
