I find it much easier to shoot a rifle that fits me than one that doesn't fit. Women (thank God!) have very different body structures than men, so it makes sense to design a rifle to fit them.
If this rifle helps open the female gun market, that is great. The more women brought into the shooting sports, the better politically. And it is a smart commercial move as well to try to tap into such a potentially huge market.
Weatherby does have a particular aesthetic that seems to be amplified by the change in proportions required to make the stock better fit women. While the result will appeal to some, to my eye, the result is perhaps the ugliest rifle I've ever seen. Perhaps other companies can devise solutions with a different look and broaden the market.
