I don't need high velocity to make 400 gr bullets work. And my fragile retinas don't need the extra recoil. Are you seeing high pressures. I like Hornady as their ammo seems consistent, brass seems good and it is usually faster, without pressure signs, than other ammo dure to their powder blend. So, I like their fast ammo.
Rimfire!?The .22 Mag blew up in my 455 with factory barrel. The primer ruptured, the blast set off another one or two rounds in the magazine, blowing up the magazine in my hand as I was holding the rifle right there. Magazine destroyed, luckily hand was OK. Bad headspace? Who knows, did not measure but other ammo worked flawlessly.
About 60 euro for ten pieces so no plinkingThis is great news. I currently “plink” with PPU 375HH ammo but will have to give this a try as I assume it will be equally affordable stuff.
Oh yeah? S&B ammo is one of the cheapest available here, most standard hunting cartridges are around $35-40 CAD/box of 20. I currently pay $46/10 for PPU 375HH.About 60 euro for ten pieces so no plinking
Yep. I just stumbled upon them on the Frankonia website. Then I did a web search and came back to this thread on AH.Oh yeah? S&B ammo is one of the cheapest available here, most standard hunting cartridges are around $35-40 CAD/box of 20. I currently pay $46/10 for PPU 375HH.
I assumed it would be in the same ballpark.
No, no, no.On topic the S&B is semi jacket. Would that be more suitable for the task being buffalo?
