A man and his dog, lets see yours

Two of my old dogs in an encounter with another dingo hybrid "up the back" at home.

I hope you gave a quick assist to your dogs!

My current dog out of this litter is the tan one. Both blacks were run over and the B+W (my best one) was snake bitten and died aged 10 months or so.
He was a rippin` pup too. So tan man is the sole survivor.

My two working cocker spaniels, Willow and Daisy. They are Mum and daughter.
The terrier is Lil. She is either 16 or 17 and today she is going to the vets to have her right eye removed.
That dog is a marvel and one tough bitch.

Best dog I ever had.....Dixie Belle. Pictures taken one year apart. She would fetch anything you threw for her from coke bottles to small children. Had to make sure a person was not between me and what I threw because she would mow them down to get to it! My neighbor back then called her the tank.

My old man Rosco (GSP) turned 14 this month. Almost deaf now. We’ve been fortunate to hunt together from Havre, MT south into Texas. Bag of bobwhites, scaled quail, dusky grouse, mountain sharp tail, sharp tail, chukar, pheasant, prairie chicken, and probably something else my old brain doesn’t remember. He made the thousand mile drive Each direction with me 4-5 times a year to East Texas to visit my folks on their little homestead until they both were gone a few years back. Excellent traveler and companion.

This Max. He was 11 when I had to put him down last year with cancer. His favorite past time, other than eating the boys socks when they were younger, was jumping from the deck, onto the carport roof, then up onto the main roof to greet the boys coming home from school. He was my buddy, and as soon as I get the green light from the Mrs, there will be a new addition to the family.

Bruno,

He went where I went - be that hunting, the ocean, or simply cuddling up in bed looking at pictures reflecting a successful hunt or posts here on AH.com

First time I left him home for a weekend, some idiot poisoned the poor champ with aldicarb.
My fury knew no bounds!

The reward at the end of a long days work....:)

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
