Hi to all,
Been reading here for a while now, and found a wealth of knowledge and information I enjoyed!
As my first double rifle is due next week (a Chapuis 9,3x74R), the African bug starts biting, at least theoretically. My plan is learning how to use it on the range first, and then test it in my regular hunting grounds.
Have been hunting in Austria and Hungary for the last ten years, mostly roe deer, red stag, boar and mufflon.
Looking forward to broaden my horizon,
And thanks for having me!

Herzlichen willkommen und Waidmannsheil! Have fun and feel free to leave a comment with some suggestion at https://www.africahunting.com/threads/german-books.72694/
Which part of Austria are you from? I am currently a guest worker in Lower Austria. I am happy to see someone from Central Europe region here.

Dankesehr, ein Weidmannsheil zurück!
I mainly live and hunt in Carinthia and Burgenland, and Hungary.
How do you like Lower Austria? Hunting there?

Welcome! Certainly glad to have you here with us!

A thank you to all of you for the warm welcome!

I am from Croatia, and always wanted to hunt in Austria, particularly alpine marmot, and chamois.
I might be asking you for advice where to go, once I set up my spare time to do it!
Welcome to the forum!

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts

Hi PaulB,
I have a Ballard Arms Model 1885 chambered for .333 Jeffery Flanged. Do you have any idea where I can get ammo for this?

I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I am doing something wrong!
Thank You!
