since Corona in Zimbabwe is a standstill everywhere. My(black) PH told me for a few month, that he is thinking about to sell his gun (!!!) when I asked him how he was doing.
I felt that this Shona was far too proud to ask me for money in times of need.
So I have been paying him a small pension of $50 a month since April and told him that I will do this until December and then we will see.

Guys, I'm not saying this to make a big deal, I just want to give some of you a suggestion on how you can directly support people who are worth something to you.
And in Africa pretty much everybody is in a bad way, especially the black teams in the hunting camps.
I thought to myself, before I donate to a big organization where a third of the administration disappears, I'd rather do it myself.

I transfer money to this country via WESTERN UNION without any problems and 50.- USD costs me only USD 4,50 (my bank wants for the transfer 29.- Euro!!)
The money arrives there, is paid out in cash and the important thing is that he gets it in US Dollars, which is the gold standard in these times and helps people who are up to their neck in water.

As said, it should only be a suggestion for some, if you can afford it and there are already 20.- USD much money today.
African hunter solidarity should not only be a word.

My best always

This is a truly noble thing for you to suggest , Foxi . 50 American Dollars is equivalent to 4000 Bangladesh Taka , per month . I can easily provide this amount .

Any thing to aid the international hunting community .

That is a great gesture. My RSA PH/outfitter is also a farmer and I asked him about his trackers. He told me they are doing other work on the farm and still everyone is getting full salary. The boers are some special people.

Hogpatrol,
my boer PH in Gobabis is cutting grass now in the Kalahari and delivers that to other farms.
Times can change in a spilt of a second.
Carpe diem.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
Behind the scenes of taking that perfect picture.....

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
