A Drink For After the Hunt!

Springbok

Don't forget about the original Amarula shooter the "Springbok":

Equal parts Amarula and Creme de Minthe in a shotglass...Creme de Minthe first. They taste exactly like a mint girlscout cookie. They are awesome!

I'll have to try this one out on my unsuspecting guests!.......:draught:

they will still use it against you, they are female after all and never forget anything!!!!:( and i am very happy you are growing up and moving onto grey goose. jaeger bombs are for kids and are bloody revolting!!!!!cant stand redbull :vomit: warbird i will give your cocktail recipe to my wife, as she is prone to working her way through cocktail lists when she finds a bar with a good one. code4 that is a good choice in Bajan rum , a mount gay and coke is very good is good, and it seems to taste even better if you drink it in barbados. mind you it should taste good in zambia as well ;)

bluey, like spike says, welcome to the world of the goose, may you never go back.... You'll love the stuff buddy, SMOOOOOOOOTTTTTHHHHHH.

I am only home for a little over a month from RSA. While there I was introduced to Amarula. This is a wonderful liquor. I have since found it at home (Fargo, ND) and have come up with a drink called a Bushbuck (I named it). In a blender add some crushed ice, 4-5 scoops of vanilla ice cream, a squirt of chocolate syrup, half a ripe banana, 1-2 shots of rum and fill her up with Amarula and blend. A great summer drink and a little reminder of good times spent drinking Amarula at the fire pit! Enjoy!

warbird i had our chief cocktail maker at the hotel make some last night when we went for dinner with some people, and after a bit of fine tuning he got the taste to perfection. i tried it out on the 6 people we were having dinner with and they all thought it tasted great, it could be going on the cocktail list

he nailed it the second time, bit too much rum in the first one and it overpowered the flavour. the only thing is that it is kinda filling , but in my opinion it must be classified as a health drink as its got banana in it, so a good way to get one of your five a day....;)

Way cool that the Bushbuck will make your drink list! I am glad that it turned out ok. My first couple of tries at it I added the rum in moderation. Not realizing what it was doing to me, I kept adding more with each round. These are a filling drink and will sneak up on you fast!

Used to drink this at the Jaegerhoff in Morton Grove Ill
Called a Smokey The Bear,,,,Appenzeller and Vodka,,, didn,t know the mix ratio and didn,t care

Honestly, My favorite after all the hunts was Castle beer. If I ever hunt Zambia (or when i get back) I have yet to taste a beer as good as MOSI, if I never hunt there "Zambia" it would be worth the trip for a night of drunken bliss with MOSI. Love the stuff.

Never had this MOSI, but have had Castle. Its OK, but for me its AMSTEL! Cant get it here except light (UGH!) so its another good reason to go back to Africa. My relationship to any hard stuff ended many years ago, probably a good thing!:bonk:

The only "HARD" stuff I drink anymore is Grey Goose Vodka and some other Vodka from now and again. MOSI is the BEST beer I personally have ever drank ( and I have tried quite a few). Sest if you get to Zambia you have to try it, it's goooood.

For me its always been CASTLE LAGER......
For all the guys that don't like the revolting Jager Bomb.... I've got a replacement based on the exact same principles, instead of using jagermeister & red bull, use Amarula & Castle milkstout (Milkstout is very similar to Guiness & Kilkenny Beer from Ireland...).

Putting the milkstout in the shot glass replacing the jagermeister & the amarula in the glass around the shot replacing the red bull.
A very nice drink!!!!
We call it the IRISH "CARBOMB" !!!!! :thumb:

if its beer you boys want to drink you all really need to come on over here to the other gods country and we will get stuck into some CARLTON DRAUGHT mate
its the nectar of the gods ......

Have a great time spike and pete, don't drown yourselves in it, but by no means go to bed sober.

I like the way you think 35, you're welcome here anytime!
Spike, you need to plan a longer trip next time for a quick trip up to the Lake... the beer is always better up there, the grey goose goes down real smooth too!!
