Not to hijack this thread but I have a question. Would either a 300 win mag or a 7mm Rem mag work for a donor rifle for a 9.3x62 build/re-barrel without having to change the bolt face and have a bunch of other work done to the magazine, etc…?

Wouldn't or mate the magnum bolt face is bigger than the 9.3x62.
It's relatively easy to open a normal bolt to magnum but you can't make a magnum bolt face smaller to suit.
