I'd stick with 286 gr.

It would be easier to say which 9.3 bullets I have not worked up loads for than ones I have. What I've leared (see what i did there?) is that there's no real benefit to going with lighter bullets. The speed you might gain is offset by the lower BC of the lighter bullets - except for Accubond. But even with an Accubond at 2550 vs just about any 286 gr at 2350, you're just not flat enough at any ordinary shooting distance that it makes any practical difference, and you might get down to 30 ft lbs of recoil instead of 35.

I'm not saying "don't go with a lighter bullet", just saying don't go out of your way to try and find them. If you find a good deal on 250 gr NAB, North Fork, or Barnes, that's fine. But none of them are worth holding out for if you find 286 gr A Frame, TSX, North Fork SS, Partition, Oryx, Mega, even Hornady Interlock.

I saw what you did there.... I agree. At least for me, there is no reason to look for another weight. Even in my 7.4 lb Husky the recoil is not an issue. My 7 Rem mag is much less pleasant!

Not even aware Speer makes a 286 gr.

I have worked up loads for their 270 gr. Those are the least expensive to practice with.

I have a box of Speer 270 grain and 2 boxes of old stock Speer 250 grain. Have not encountered any Speer 286 grain.

I used a Speer 270gr. on a calf moose. The bullet broke out 2 1/2" of his leg, but stopped there in pieces. It did not penetrate through the ribs into the lungs. The shot was at 200 yards exactly by range finder. The muzzle velocity was 2,300fps as it was from my Husky 9.3x57. The impact Vel. would have been roughly 1,800fps. Had the moose been a big bull, I might have lost him. The calf was feeling pretty sick and lay down inside 50yards, where I plugged him in the head after walking up. This was a big calf, a 6 month old moose maybe 275lbs. on the hoof.
I rank that 270gr. Speer bullet as too bloody soft, even for the low impact vel. of 1,800fps. I've 2 boxes of them and only use them when fireforming brass for either of my 2, 9.3x62's.
I currently have a few boxes of 250gr. .049" jacket Barnes original spitzers that show promise. Other than that, I'd go with 285/6gr. Norma Dual Cores if they still make those, or the bonded Oryx or Nosler Partitions and not worry about lack of penetration.
For a lighter bullet, the 250gr. TSX should work as well. I'd not go to the 286gr. TSX due to length. If you have a 14" ROTwist, they might not be stable after impact.

I’ve yet to take the 9.3 to Africa. In fact the only critter I’ve shot with it was a coyote at 100 yds using the 286gr Hornady. It almost blew the coyote in two. I believe it is too soft.
I ran a penetration test using the 250gr TTSX, 270gr Speer, 286gr Swift AF and the 286gr Hornady. The Hornady must have tumbled as it exited out the side of the box. Of the remaining three, the Barnes penetrated the most with the Swift only an inch behind and the Speer far behind.

For tougher PG I liked the 286 gr Norma ammo with Oryx bullets. For deer and such I prefer the 286gr RNSP from PRVI or S&B.

I’ve read some good things about the 250gr TSX. I have some coming that should be here in about a week or so. Hopefully I made the right choice
