a great caliber, depending on the bullet also as fast as the 7mm Rem Mag.
From the 1970s onwards, it unfortunately lost this game against the .30-06 in Germany.
Perhaps there will be a renaissance .
The 8x57 was already dead here and has been resurrected since the 90s (due to the widespread cultivation of corn with the wild pig problem).
An impeccable caliber and weapons on egun with it are quite cheap.
Have fun with it.

Mighty it is indeed, the 7x64. But use well constructed premium bullets on the bigger game. (RWS KS is not solid enough)

Wow.What a beauty. Tell us about please

It is a Dumoulin Centurion, bespoke built for a retiring lawyer, who unfortunately then almost never got to use it anymore.

It was one of the first successes of the “Good Gun Deals This Week” thread (p4-6), thanks to @rookhawk and @Red Leg

Great article. The 7x64 is a wonderful caliber. My middle child got his when he was eight and has used it for several years on everything from white tail deer to eland.

Old pics of him on hunts at 8, 9, and 10 years old with his trusty 7x64mm.

Enjoyed that write up, thank you for sharing. I've been toying with the idea of a 7mm single shot for a while. Leaning 7x65R for nostalgic reasons. Have heard a lot about the 7x64 Brenneke over the years too though. Appreciate the depth of coverage the article took - even touching on the rimmed cousin of the 7x64 Brenneke.

Great round. I've been patiently waiting for a rifle in this caliber to come along. I've been thinking a Mannlicher MCA would be an ideal rifle in this. Slim and fast handling, but a full 24" barrel. I actually bought a ton of ammo of Rookhawk awhile ago in preperation of getting one!

Kind of unrelated, but for any 7x64 fans, American Reloading has had some great deals on brass. Depending if their sale is 25% or 40% off (like it is today) you can get 100 pieces primed nickle for around 50 bucks.

Do you still have the Browning 1895 and do you want to sell it? I'm might be interested. If so please let me know and do you have any pictures?
