6 weeks to go to Zambezi valley

That's incredible Royal27! Where are you hunting, and with who?
I will keep an eye out for a bolt carrier! ;)

With Chifuti Safaris in their Chewore area. I'm so excited!!!! :)

That's awesome! You are gonna love it I'm sure!
what you after?

I can honestly say I'm after the experience. But, I hope to take a buff and hippo while having the experience.

In particular I can't wait to see the trackers work!!!

On exactly the same page! For me it's all about the experience!

Hunting up on the river you will have a great time I'm sure! I'm positive you will get opportunities on both, so the nuts up to you!

Enjoy!

You too Jumbo!!!! :)

Thanks Royal27! I am already!
Gonna be great to do this with my dad! At 75, probably gonna be his last big hunt!

Special times!

Oh wow! I didn't realize that! Special times indeed!

I know you will savor every minute!!!!

This is going FAST!

My last week was meant to be calm and calculated, but now it has turned out that I leave tomorrow! Not for the hunt, but to go leave home without being back before I head to the valley! Crazy that I must pack tonight! Just hoping the prep pays for itself in having most stuff organised already!

so now between today and my hunt I have 5 days in Lusaka, then 2 days in JHB, then back to Lusaka to immediately leave for the river.........................eish!!!!

Why so much chaos Marc?

Hey PeteG I gotta be in Lusaka this weekend, then have work with my sales team till Wednesday afternoon. Then Thursday I have a meeting in JHB which I will extend to see a couple of other guys. Then Friday morning I will fly back to Lusaka with my dad to head out.....................feel like a rollercoaster in terms of being well packed etc............too many different requirements right now..................anyway time to go make some cash before I head to Lusaka later!

I leave tomorrow!

Sitting in JHB for some meetings, then fly into Lusaka tomorrow morning with my Dad, fetch my car which is already packed and head for the Valley!!!

Cant believe its here and happenening!

Have a great journey.

Lucky so-and-so!!!! The Zambezi Valley is my favourite place on the whole planet - good luck and I hope to see lots of pics of your hunt on this forum afterwards!

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
