When you pay for a hunt, and a wounded animal is not recovered, you pay$$$. With that in mind, no such thing as too much gun lol

If you shoot half your meat away there is definitely something like two much gun. Most shots are head shots, but on a slow day you have to take some heart lung shots also.

Not going to disagree with your statement, you are correct about the loss of some meat. But no one (Americans)takes game meat home from Africa.

I recently returned from a tiny ten quest where I got 6 (report on AH) I also shot a Kudu and Bushbuck with 6.5 creed moor with 143 ELDX. One shot at 90 yards dropped the kudu and finished with another shot. Bushbuck was one shot at 120 yards. It is capable and not my first choice for Kudu but it's what I had.

100%, it is a mix of your safari and hunting in the states, we hunt for the meat, not trophy’s, but then we also have to pay for the animals and the trip, accommodation ext . So trying to get the balance right. After processing and all the other cost it is almost cheaper to buy meat at the butcher shop. And there is no free hunting, so if you are a hunter you need to pay to enjoy your passion.

Ok, i do know there are other calibers that can do the same, that the Creed is a target round ext. no i do not plan to have a man bun, or wear a bra.
I needed a rifle for Springbuck and Blesbuck hunting in South Africa for up to 400-500 meters.
I am loading 130gr Sierra GameChangers, and the rifle is a Mauser M18.
What have you hunted with a creed? What will you be comfortable to hunt with it?
Never used the 6.5CM, but I’ve cleanly taken everything from Springbok to a wounded eland bull with the Swede.
That said, the .264 bullet diameter does its best work (fast kills) on plains game up to the size of Black wildebeest. (200kg)

For larger PG, we have much better choices.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
Two African Safaris Hunted South Africa both times,
